Sticky Bird and Red Barn Farms
In 2016, Rich asked Brandon Howard – a close friend and nationally acclaimed Certified Executive Chef for assistance in developing a culinary life skills facility for the Students at the Red Barn Academy. Having witnessed the value of service, hard work, discipline and structure within a team atmosphere, the Haws family along with Brandon set out to create an opportunity where these principles could be developed. Two years later, Brandon teamed up with WB Management’s Eric and Scott Slaymaker as the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Chef of Winger’s USA. At the same time WB Management was looking to enter the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry – a perfect fit with the Red Barn Academy’s vision, another (SEF). The life skills training of the Red Barn Students by this seasoned culinary team of Howard & Slaymaker has made for a great partnership. The opportunity for the Students to “SERVE” and the Community to see the change that comes from “Doing the Next Right Thing”, will be on constant display at the restaurant…
Sticky Bird was hatched.
Our mission is to be ther leader in fresh, quick handcrafted food.
Sticky Bird Red Barn Farms, in Farmington, is our “Flagship” store and our first of many to come. The Students of Red Barn Academy will help staff the restaurant, where they welcome the opportunity to share their story with you. A portion of all sales from the various Sticky Bird locations goes directly towards addiction awareness and recovery through this partnership with Red Barn Farms. Sticky Bird provides important life skills to those affected by the challenges of addiction – with the goal of “Saving Lives” through awareness, hope, and change.
